The Resources Section Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Resources Business Group including leadership, staff recruiting, development and retention, workload management, quality assurance/control and client development/marketing. This role requires expertise in business development, project management, team development and technical execution to drive growth and technical delivery across all Resources market sectors: Power, Industrial, Waste and Federal Resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining staff. Proactively manages workload and staff work assignments through careful planning and organizing. Supports training and professional development. Helps fill key positions to support growth.
•Coordinates workshare with other Areas and market sectors; provides variety in staff work assignments and support cross training.
•Supports business development activities including client development, opportunity tracking, proposal development, and engages practice leads for support.
•Participates in annual planning, initiative development and execution to support client and geographic growth and development of new service lines.
•Participates in annual budgeting and forecasting.
•Serves as a project and client manager. Brings extensive experience in developing, scoping, and managing projects to achieve targeted profit. Manages multi-discipline teams and provides task management oversight and support. Solid understanding and use of HDR project management tools and systems and supports staff in developing project management competency.
•Supports team members with project production and related issues. May serve as a technical resource on projects and conduct difficult to complex process engineering. Helps trouble shoot and resolve project issues. May also serve as a Principal in Charge on projects.
•Implements and supports company policy. Serves as a member of the Area leadership team.
•Brings strong communication and listening skills including good leadership and organizational skills.
Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree

- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
