Avenida Restaurant in San Mateo, CA is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time or part-time Restaurant Assistant Manager to be a part of our exciting journey! This position can be either full or part-time and works within operating hours: Monday to Thursday - 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday to Saturday - 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday - 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, your role is pivotal in driving our success. You oversee both front- and back-of-house operations diligently. Assuming leadership in the absence of the restaurant manager, you ensure smooth operation throughout the day. As a dedicated leader, you evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and identify potential promotions.

Collaborating closely with the head chef, you uphold kitchen systems and procedures. Managing shifts to maintain standards and preparing schedules for the front-of-house is key to the success of our restaurant. Additionally, you meticulously plan and monitor manpower, preparing reports to optimize performance and adhere to budgetary constraints. At the end of the day, you feel great knowing your hard work contributes to happy customers and employees alike.

• 2 years of previous experience as an assistant restaurant manager
• Experience working in a Filipino restaurant is a plus
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Knowledgeable with Excel and Microsoft word
