M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Project Executive based in San Antonio, TX. 

The Project Executive provides overall management for large construction projects, including leading the project team and ensuring key and successful customer relations. 

This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus six (6) years of related experience in the construction industry. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus eight (8) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the construction industry. Must also have 60 months of experience with each of the following: (1) drafting contract agreements and managing contracts for construction projects, including managing insurance, bonds, and other contractual risk associated; and (2) managing quality, risk, safety, and compliance for construction projects, including utilizing understanding of building codes and specification, interpreting codes, and working with local jurisdiction officials to resolve construction project issues. 

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) interpreting project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons; and (2) reviewing work of project team on construction projects. Must have worked on at least two construction projects valued at least at $125 million with responsibility for fulfillment of development to closeout. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master’s program. All experience may have been gained concurrently.
