SES Constructors, a BBCH company, is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to manage our heavy civil estimating team. The ideal candidate should have management experience and be well versed at preparing detailed estimates for projects based on construction plans and specifications, and scopes of work. ResponsibilitiesProduce written proposals, basis of estimates, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for project managers, senior management, and clients.Manage overall estimating workload within civil business line; this includes management of other estimating personnel.Independently determine/develop crew and equipment assemblies, production rates, and schedules for heavy civil scopes of work based on industry experience.Ability to identify and communicate project risks and incorporate mitigation strategies developed through communication with management team. Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs.Prepare, seek review of, and submit inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.Support constructability reviews through communication with the project team, designers, and subcontractor market.Prepare organized and accurate cost estimate back up documentation.Develop, maintain and expand subcontractor and supplier database.Qualifications:Must have extensive knowledge/experience in self-performance of all civil infrastructure scopes of work including earthwork/grading, dam/levee repair and/or repair, dewatering, demolition, underground utilities (e.g., water/sewer/storm), road construction and repair, asphalt pavement, and concrete construction.Experience managing a team of estimatorsMinimum 10 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry; project cost estimating and construction management experience is preferred.Experience estimating federal projects is mandatoryAbility to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
