Lion Bridge Brewing Company is Hiring a Taproom Manager Near Rapids, IA

Are you ready to join a forward-thinking, established restaurant as Taproom Manager?

This is a full-time salaried role at $45,000.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee taproom and kitchen activities as assigned, with focus on customer service and
  • hospitality standards, taproom cleanliness, and quality of beer
  • Responsible for leading a team of 15-25 servers and kitchen staff
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by conducting table touches throughout the guest experience
  • Responsible for employee scheduling of taproom and kitchen activities as assigned to ensure daily schedules are in line with the prescribed staffing plan
  • Oversee front of house labor & kitchen percentages and budgets, inventory, cost of goods sold and all related expenses in line with company KPIs and standards
  • Oversee draft system maintenance & inventory
  • Manages taproom budget for DOE, maintenance, and profitability. Orders food product and DOE products.
  • Inspects public areas before patrons arrive and maintain cleanliness during business hours.
  • Supervises and maintains weekly inventories to calculate, monitor and control food and beverage costs.
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment and arranges for repairs, contracts and other services. Engages in preventive maintenance tactics to keep equipment and facilities clean, and in good working order.
  • Maintain POS system as needed due to new hires, beer, and menu changes, etc.
  • Responsible for website maintenance and ensuring information is current. Fulfills online store orders.
  • Responsible for addressing escalated patron concerns and offering appropriate solutions to satisfy their needs while adhering to standards and policy
  • Anticipate staffing needs, hires appropriately and appropriately addresses concerns and complaints with staff. Discipline and terminate staff as appropriate. Maintains HR and employee files.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, coaching and developing talent to exceed customer expectations and serve food and beer that is a catalyst for conversation and community
  • Ensure safety and compliance with safety and health regulations. Coaches and trains employees on monthly safety trainings.
  • Sustains a high level of product knowledge
  • Structures loyalty program, organize events and beer releases, and maintains mailing and customer loyalty list
  • Works toward continuous quality improvement
  • Upholds, supports and promotes all company policies and procedures
  • Drafts and maintains policy documents, SOPs, Emergency Action Plans, and Employee Handbook, and additional as required or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Common sense
  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and at least one year of managerial experience in the restaurant industry
  • OR no degree (must have HS diploma or GED) and at least two years of managerial experience in the restaurant industry
  • Enjoy craft beer 
  • Previous experience in the brewery industry is strongly preferred
  • Able to be on your feet for 30-40 hours a week 
  • Lift 25 lbs above your head comfortably
  • Friendly, approachable, and firm leadership style
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft software programs including Excel and Word
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
