Position Description Lion Bridge is looking for a professional FULL-TIME (5-6 days a week) line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and achieving our mission of preparing food that is a catalyst for conversation and community.
The schedule will be agreed upon at the time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, cutting/tendering meat, preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report, and follow chef’s instructions
- Inform chef immediately of inventory shortages to avoid running out of menu items
- Clean up stations and equipment
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production procedures. The cook is responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss and waste.

Requirements
- Must be great under pressure in high-output situations and have experience working on a line
- Be able to work Wednesday through Sunday and not require a lot of time off
- No history of violent convictions, including domestic violence, assault, fighting, etc. We are a drama-free workplace!
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work around holidays (we are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc., but open the day before and after)
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Dependability and arriving on time for scheduled shifts
Pay is $14-16/hr, depending on experience.
