Maine Medical Center is Hiring an Administrative Specialist II-Cardiovascular Surgery Near Portland, ME

Summary
  • MaineHealth Medical Group - Cardiovascular Surgery program is the largest in the state of Maine, performing 1,100 open-heart surgeries per year. The Congenital Heart practice serves more than 3,600 patients annually in the outpatient setting, from across Maine and into New Hampshire. This is your opportunity to support the administrative needs of these high performing programs and make a meaningful impact in our community!

    Position Summary
  • Under the general direction of a Director or Senior Director, the Administrative Specialist II supports a combination of administrative, practice operation, and clerical programmatic needs. Combined, these two services consist of 14 physicians, 36 Advanced Practice Providers, and 27 support staff, providing care in 6 locations and 4 hospital units. This position is responsible for coordinating meetings for providers and leadership, supporting the operational needs of the practices, and other clerical duties as assigned. The position requires a high level of organizational skills, an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the day.

    ** Healthcare experience is preferred
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
