The PositionWe are seeking a full-time Administrative Specialist for our MHBSS department in Northridge location. This position primarily responsible for various administrative and medical records functions required within the TBS program and for all TBS cases.
What You’ll Do
  • Processes all outside TBS referrals. Including, but not limited to:
  • Schedules Pre-Admissions for TBS only cases. Creates initial TBS packets.
  • Verifies Medi-Cal eligibility for potential TBS cases.
  • Opens and closes service for all TBS and MHBSS cases/services.
  • Submits, monitors and updates authorizations every year for TBS cases in the DMH Provider Connect Database
  • Ensures all SDAs are complete and timely submitted.
  • Provides administrative assistance as needed to the TBS Program Manager and Coordinator for TBS and MHBSS programs and Social Work Internship program.
  • Provides administrative support for new hires; schedules new hire trainings.
  • Maintains staff caseload information in NAPPA database.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am- 5:30 pm with one-hour meal period
  • Starting Salary: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
  • The first three months of this position is fully onsite. Hybrid work options are available after three successful months of employment.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft suite and Zoom meetings
  • Previous office experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities and use time effectively.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to complete projects and report in a timely fashion.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have a good attendance record in addition to being punctual by consistently being on time to work, meetings and appointments.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required. B.A./B.S. in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or other mental health related field preferred.
