Candidates must possess 1-3 years experience.
- Position is located in a Greenhouse for plant research, but an office is provided for data analysis and related duties.
- Candidate must have a Bachelor or master's level position- any plant science degree - no molecular and genetics degree
- Must have basic scientific experimental experience to be able to set up research study, if they have extensive research experience but don't have master's or bachelors, manager may consider
- Need to be able to know how to grow and culture the different plants in a greenhouse.
- Basic research experience in the past is a benefit.
- Growing turf and ornamental plants, growth, and culture experience in the greenhouse
- Genetics are more complicated than what is needed, manager doesn't want to consider candidates that have gene manipulation or genetic testing experience
- Search for greenhouse experience first, if they don't have greenhouse experience, they won't qualify.
- Candidates can gain ornamental experience working at nursery or landscaping company that also uses a greenhouse.
