• Develops, manages and maintains positive, effective relationships and communications with the senior management group, legal and human resources departments and all Authority Departments to ensure an accurate understanding of the operational characteristics and exposures to loss.
• Identifies and analyzes exposures to non-speculative financial loss, regardless of whether insurance is available, using various techniques. Works on cross-functional teams to evaluate risk and implement loss prevention procedures. Evaluates available risk financing methods using quantitative techniques, in terms of emphasis on transfer or retention, mechanism of funding, types and amounts of loss to be financed, cash flow impact, and tax implications. Negotiates the structure, design and pricing of insurance programs, policies, Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Broker services and other risk management-related products or contracts.
• Develops and maintains an effective claim management program requiring claim audits, committee reviews and provides settlement authority. Assists in investigations of all claims and litigation.
• Implements and monitors selected risk management techniques, provides quantitative data to all departments for the purposes of motivating and supporting efforts in the prevention and reduction of losses, performance measurement of safety initiatives, budgets, and any other requests.
• Maintains the general liability, auto, property, officers’ liability, worker’s compensation and cyber insurance programs.
• Handles all claims and subrogation matters internally and externally, working with the Legal Department and third parties as necessary.
• Maintains property appraisal data.
• Obtains and oversees Insurance Brokerage Services.
• Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Finance, or other related field; AND two (2) years in insurance or risk management position for a public or private entity which includes a working knowledge of insurance, claims, safety, loss control, or
• Associate's Degree of Risk Management (ARM) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification; AND three (3) years experience as described above.
• Familiar with Office Suite Software (Core - Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation)
• Have a valid Driver's License and a safe, acceptable driving record.
