Job Description:

This DFW based infrastructure and construction services industry leader has an immediate 6 month contract opportunity for a Business Analyst in the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Department.This position requires working onsite in North Dallas Monday-Friday and may require traveling to North Richland Hills, possibly once or twice a week. Requires great computer skills and an understanding of learning management and/or telematic software systems. The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with business stakeholders to implement and manage Training, Document Control, and Telematics software platforms.Will be responsible for documenting processes, managing content, implementing, and administering the systems, maintaining it up to date, developing reports, partnering with stakeholders to develop dashboards to meet business requirements, and maintaining efficient and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Additionally, the Business Analyst will monitor and support day to day operations, ensuring daily, weekly, monthly updates are performed.

Contract Duration: 6 Months (with chance for extension and possible conversion)

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Science or Technical Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in Analytics/Dashboards, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Power BI Publisher (preferred), and Microsoft Power BI Report Development (preferred).
• 2 years of experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable analytics solutions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with implementing and managing IT “cloud-based” software.
• Experience with Training and Telematic software (preferred).
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Ability to relate technical language to business needs as a translator between data layer and presentation layer.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong computer proficiency, especially as to Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and other PC based programs.
• Experience writing procedures, training presentations, work processes.
• Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with an ability to express business concepts in technical terms and complex technical solutions in business terms.
• Work experience with exposure to Training Platforms or OSHA 29 CFR 1910 is a plus.

What You Will Be Doing

• Administering and maintaining up to date the Training platform, training records, generating training compliance reports, assessing the training platform capabilities, and maximizing its utilization of different modules.
• Supporting implementation and management of the Telematics platforms.Inputting all required data to ensure the system is up and running, administering system, generating reports, assessing telematic platform to maximize utilization.
• Acting as a back up to Document Control, which will require effective and efficient communication with stakeholders and properly storing that communication and documents in the systems.
• Leveraging knowledge of the business, analytical skills, and business acumen to proactively manage, generate report, and identify areas of opportunities.
• Creating ad-hoc queries, designing reports, and publishing reports leveraging Excel and Microsoft Power BI and other applications within the Microsoft suite of products.
• Maintaining communication with management and users during development of the database or maintenance phase.
• Developing and maintaining supporting user documentation and training materials.
• Ensuring all user data base is accurate and current.
• Providing assistance on user access and training, as applicable, to company employees.
• Working together with other stakeholders and visiting the company yard in order to collect and validate any information required to ensure the proper implementation of the Training and Telematic systems.
