Job Description Waterstone Resort Marina, A Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seekinga dynamic, service-oriented Beverage / Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team! This is a unique opportunity as food and beverage is at the heart of our Resort's repositioning. Additionally, you will be part of the opening team as we prepare to launch a signature Asian restaurant in Fall 2024. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the ordering, stocking, and inventory management of all beverages, ensuring optimal levels are maintained to meet customer demand without overstocking.
Develop and implement beverage menus, including seasonal or specialty offerings, to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
Train and supervise beverage staff on proper service techniques, beverage knowledge, and compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with beverage suppliers and distributors to secure the best possible terms and maintain cost-effective operations.
Monitor and analyze beverage sales data to identify trends, adjust inventory and menu offerings accordingly, and set pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Coordinate with the kitchen and event planning teams to ensure beverage offerings complement food menus and special events, enhancing overall guest experience.
Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure all beverages served meet the establishment's standards and customer expectations.
Manage the maintenance and repair of beverage equipment, such as coffee machines, draft systems, and refrigeration units, to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Assist with managing the front of house operations for the Restaurant.
Assist with training, direction, supervision, and hands on support
Assist associates and supervisors to accomplish goals and objectives of the food and beverage operation
Ensure the proper preparation of food and beverages to the satisfaction of our guests, brand and ensures all safety, health and hygiene requirements are consistently met
Ensure, direct, and facilitate communication, engagement and conflict resolutions as needed by the team to ensure a positive associate environment
Participates in MOD program as needed
Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED, post high school education and degree preferred
Minimum of two years food and beverage supervisory experience, preferably with a hotel
Beverage (Beer, Wine, Spirits) knowledge including Saki, Japanese Whiskey required
Level 1 Sommelier or higher preferred
Food Handler/Manager Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred, or able to obtainwithin 30-days of hire
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to communicate effectively verbally
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS systems, cost, and labor systems with focus on restaurant profitability
Team player
Strong leadership skills
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
Excellent time management skills
Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including PM's, weekends, and holidays
