Diesel Mechanic and Maintenance
Job Type: Full Time
Day time: 6:30 A.M. through 3:30 P.M.
Night Time: 2:00 P.M. through 10:00 P.M.
Ray LaFore Truck Service has been providing exceptional service in the Metro area since 1946. We are now looking to expand. We need self-motivated, well-organized men and women along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Applicant will be working with late model Mack and Freightliner trucks. Experience with these brands is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience working on Heavy Trucks/Equipment.
· Must have own tools. (Specialty tools will be provided)
· Knowledge & experience with shifting.
· Knowledge & experience with hooking and unhooking trailers.
· Able to perform DOT inspections.
· Oil changes, Tire Installs, Brake shoes Installs, Brake Chambers, Brake, Clutch Adjustments, and Clutch Installation.
· Able to lift 75 lbs.
· Current CDL and DOT physical is a plus
· Able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
· Have dependable transportation, Knowledge of computer diagnostics systems, Knowledge of DPF systems.
· Take home company Service Truck is available.
· Welding and Fabrication Experience is a plus
