Williams Dedicated is in search of a Diesel Mechanic to add to our talented Shop team in Springfield, IL! We would prefer someone with at least a year of experience completing preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and has a strong work ethic.

2nd Shift Noon to 8:30 PM Monday - Friday (with shift differential)

Job Duties of a Diesel Mechanic:

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, and installing component and part upgrades.
• Correct vehicle problems by removing, repairing, adjusting, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as: brake components, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, and tires.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting diesel engine system with ECM diagnostic programs and other troubleshooting techniques preferred (i.e. Cummins Insite, Davie 4)

Position Requirements:

• A Valid Driver's License in good standing is REQUIRED!
• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel maintenance
• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
