Estimator / Project Manager

Located in Belleville, IL, Hank’s Excavating & Landscaping, Inc. has been providing the St. Louis metropolitan area the best in quality, safety & service since 1978. We are a heavy-highway, civil contractor that does everything from complete road reconstruction and storm/sanitary sewer to water work and demolition. We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager for this posting.

A Day in the Life

In a typical day you can expect to be a part of the following:

• Interfacing with Owners, Subcontractors, Engineers and State and local government representatives
• Using bid estimating software to create bid proposals
• Procurement, coordination, delivery, and certification of materials via use of purchase orders
• Preparation and maintenance of project files

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The following skills and attributes would help ensure your success:

• Ability to read and decipher blueprints, plan scale and plan specifications
• Math skills to accurately apply formulas as they relate to concrete, asphalt, rock, dirt, etc.
• Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Computer Skills and ability to learn systems and programs
• Experience with HCSS software products is a plus, specifically HeavyBid, but not required
• Time management
• Eye for detail
• Critical Thinking
• Organization

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
