ANNOUNCEMENT: Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time SWIC Educational Employee union position of Special Project Coordinator- ECACE (2).

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In Accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Special Projects Coordinator for ECACE provides leadership to the Early Childhood Education Department in helping activities associated with the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity (ECACE) grant and assists the students' transition into Southwestern Illinois College. The Coordinator identifies students for possible transition, assists them with the college enrollment processes and monitors them during their enrollment. The Coordinator will assist the Early Childhood Education program with marketing and recruitment. The Coordinator must interact well with students, day-care providers, instructors and student services' staff. The position requires flexible work hours including day, evening and possibly some weekend hours. This is a part-time, twelve-month position averaging up to 28 hours per week and is contingent on grant funding.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

2. Demonstrated ability in communicating and building relationships with daycare/early childhood providers.

3. Previous daycare or early childhood program experience preferred.

4. Background in computers preferred.

SALARY: $24.26/hr. up to 28 hours/week.

WORK LOCATION: Belleville Campus with district-wide responsibilities.
