GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Cost Analysis, Time and Motion Studies, Specify Production Equipment, Increase Production and Operations Efficiency through People Management, Technology and Business Organization, Waste Elimination, Report Creation via PC
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)
1. Work within the guidelines of the AFCO Safety Program and Protocol.
2. Work within the guidelines of the AFCO Quality Program and Protocol.
3. Considers safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
4. Work with all departments to improve safety, quality and production processes while increasing production efficiency.
5. Provide input as directed by the Process/Industrial Engineer for plant layout improvements.
6. Create purchase requisitions for Extrusion, Paint, Materials, CNC/Fab, Packing, Shipping, and Maintenance tooling/equipment upon request.
7. Develop, maintain, and control procedures related to areas of responsibility or current project.
8. When asked, review production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
9. Work in cooperation with other management and non-supervisory personnel to ensure that the customers’ and AFCO’s requirements are met.
10. Evaluate data to implement technological improvements.
11. Responsible in conjunction with other managers to determine where documented Work Instructions and/or Process Control Instructions are necessary.
12. Work with Industrial/Process Engineering for Document and Data control for Engineering related procedures, instructions, and drawings.
13. Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
14. Learn product requirements and ensure that they are met.
15. Solve production problems that arise within a department.
16. Give recommendations on how to improve productivity.
17. Communicate with the staff and management on ways of implementing the plans and the recommendations from operators at the floor level.
18. Insures good housekeeping in all work areas.
19. Reports problems or accidents to management immediately.
20. Performs related work as required.
