The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and needs. This role involves providing strategic and operational HR support, fostering a positive work environment, and driving employee engagement. The HRBP will collaborate with department heads and employees to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance overall organizational effectiveness.

HR Business Partner Job Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership:

  • Collaborate with senior management to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that align with these objectives.

Employee Relations and Support:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly and effectively.
  • Serve as the company therapist, offering support and guidance to employees to enhance their well-being and job satisfaction.

Performance Management:

  • Manage and improve performance appraisal systems, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to ensure fair and effective reviews.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Ensure all HR policies are efficient, compliant with labor laws, and effectively communicated.
  • Regularly review and update policies to maintain relevance and legality.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Document and maintain up-to-date job descriptions.
  • Source candidates by posting job descriptions, tracking responses, and conducting cold reach-outs on LinkedIn.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and schedule all subsequent interviews.
  • Coordinate background checks and reference verification processes.

Onboarding:

  • Project manage all onboarding tasks to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Gather and send necessary forms to new employees.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities across departments to ensure a cohesive introduction to the company.

Offboarding:

  • Conduct termination conversations with departing employees.
  • Administer and analyze exit interviews to gather feedback for organizational improvement.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs, develop programs, and facilitate sessions to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Analyze and review compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and equity within the market.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on HR metrics to senior management, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.

HRBP Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a business partner role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Competencies: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
