HANNA INSTRUMENTS is Hiring a Product Manager Near Woonsocket, RI

Hanna Instruments, an industry leader and global manufacturer of scientific instrumentation, is seeking a full-time Product Manager for our Woonsocket, Rhode Island office. The Product Manager will lead all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. This role plays an important part in facilitating the go to market strategy, including communicating the product roadmap, and working closely with our global offices, R&D, sales, and marketing.

Job Responsibilities for a Product Manager:

  • Facilitate the go to market strategy for new and existing products.
  • Drive communication regarding new product launches interdepartmentally and globally.
  • Conduct new product training to ensure understanding of product and features.
  • Monitor progress of new product performance and sales over time.
  • Increase, encourage and lead cross functional collaboration throughout the product management lifecycle.
  • Evaluate competitive landscape related to new product launches inclusive of pricing strategies.
  • Develop customer-centric strategies to achieve category growth, increased market share, sales, and profitability.
  • Lead customer & business intelligence and analytics function (i.e. competitive analysis, market intelligence, demand mapping, customer needs, customer profiling, etc.) that inform the overall go to market strategy.
  • Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and report market changes and findings.
  • Proactively identify growth/risk opportunities with customers and communicate findings to sales team.

Knowledge & Skills Required for a Product Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in product management.
  • Scientific instrumentation industry experience required.
  • Product portfolio life cycle experience.
  • Understanding of business intelligence and analytics tools and methodologies used to identify and assess growth opportunities.
  • Experience working with globally preferred.
  • Customer-facing sales, analytics, or sales-support experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, listening and writing skills.
  • Able to work on site in our Woonsocket, RI office.
