This is an entry-level manual labor position with work including installation and sand & finish of wood floors. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary. Practices, methods, materials, and tools utilized in sanding and finishing hardwood flooring will be learned through on-the-job training.

Must have good interpersonal skills, have a basic understanding of job safety in a carpentry shop, and the ability to safely use carpentry tools and saws.

Must have the ability to lift heavy tools and equipment. Dexterity and coordination is sufficient to balance and use heavy items such as sanders. Ability to work under extremely hot weather conditions.

Ability to complete written logs of work performed. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Skill in the use of hand and power tools and equipment with knowledge of safety guidelines. Skill in operating a motor vehicle.

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
