Lead Custodian : Education / Experience : High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years of experience in the custodial field.
Supervision in the custodial field preferred.Key Functions / Responsibilities / Tasks : *General custodial responsibilities, including but not limited to : scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, trash collection, etc.
- Responsible for supervising, managing, and training all Maintenance Custodians.*Applies cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
- Adheres to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving and operating equipment.*Maintain a written custodial and housekeeping schedule.
- Performs general custodial / preventative maintenance responsibilities, minor repairs and troubleshooting of equipment as circumstances require.
- Work as a team to complete tasks when necessary.*Assures safety during inclement weather including shoveling, salting, providing slip protection on wet floors, etc.
- Lead weekend custodial team.>
CustodianSummary : Facilities Department is currently accepting applications for a Full-time Custodian. Department : FacilitiesEducation / Experience : A high school diploma is required and custodian experience is preferred.
Applicants are expected to have some understanding of computers with knowledge in Word and Outlook applications.Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 25-50 pounds and climb a ladder.
Lifting, pushing, pulling, standing and / or sitting for extended periods of time, walking, talking, and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal and scanning purposes.
Essential Functions : *disinfecting of classroom chairs, desks white boards and other classroom furniture to ensure a healthy learning environment *cleaning and sanitizing restrooms in accordance with established practices and procedures*sweeping, mopping, and / or vacuuming hallways, emptying and cleaning ash trays and cigarette receptacles, cleaning windows, sweeping and mopping stairs and wiping down walls*During inclement weather, candidate must be able to report to campus to clear walkways of snow and clean up during snow storms.
