The Accounts Payable Manager, North America, is a management position reporting directly to the US Controller who will be responsible for providing direct support and leadership for developing and supervising our Accounts Payable teams. This role will be responsible for administering processes related to 1099’s, unclaimed property, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, credit memos, voided checks, ACH, virtual, credit card, electronic, and check transactions.If you are interested, please submit your resume to keely.newton@roberthalf.c0mKey Responsibilities• Direct, manage, and develop the Accounts Payable team (15 )• Responsible for Form 1099 process including preparing and issuing timely.• Manage the unclaimed property process by identifying unclaimed property items, reporting, and remitting payments to each state per their requirements.• Manage accurate and timely processing and disbursement of vendor obligations through various payment forms.• Oversee auction site accounts payable through GP, Oracle, Image Now, Payment net, Concur, and Buyer quest.• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and safeguarding the integrity of the financial accounting system.• Ensure payments are not processed without the appropriate approvals.• Perform monthly account reconciliations related to accounts payable and work with the corporate accounting team and operations to resolve reconciling items• Calculate and record monthly accounts payable accruals.Job Requirements• Use of analytical skills and attention to detail• Timely preparation and filing of Form 1099• Manage the unclaimed property process for Accounts Payable, North America• Manage/reconcile Credit Card Processing for various programs including maintaining Chase Payment net systems and mappers.• Troubleshoot payment and compliance issues by interacting with corporate and auction site management.• Work is varied, requires good exercise of judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to select the most appropriate course of action.• May participate in planning processes at project and departmental level.• Work under minimal supervision.• Position, at times, may require extended hours.• Involves limited travel.Preferred Skills• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.• Ability to plan and prioritize workload.• Detail-oriented and organized.• Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume and time-sensitive environment.• Excellent analytical and communication skillsEducation• BS/BA degree in Accounting/Business Administration preferred.Years Of Experience• 3 to 5 years of experience as an accounts payable supervisor in a highly automated, multi-branch, international company
