Job Overview:

The Lebanon School District is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. Under the direction of the Business Administrator, the AP Specialist performs a variety of duties necessary in processing the Lebanon School District’s invoices and purchase orders. The AP Specialist will also maintain a comprehensive filing system in compliance with various Federal and State guidelines.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

· Minimum 1 year of prior experience in an office environment performing accounting, bookkeeping, and cashiering transactions tasks.

· The ideal candidate will possess well-developed verbal and interpersonal communication skills to professionally present and exchange information which may be technical, complex, or sensitive.

· The Accounts Payable Specialist must have the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, including the ability to defuse anger and resolve complaints/issues.

· Organizational skills and the ability to work independently are a must.

· The ideal candidate will be able to consistently follow financial and administrative procedures and to explain these procedures to those familiar with them.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Based on experience.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
