Objective

To deliver and install Schagrin Home Comfort Products equipment and merchandise for residential and commercial customers in a safe and professional manner.

Essential Functions

1. Perform installation of appliances (fireplaces, generators, water heaters, outdoor kitchens, etc.)

2. Perform installation of propane gas piping systems, cylinders, etc. as needed.

3. General knowledge of how to start gas appliances and check for gas leaks.

4. Maintain records of all work performed and materials used.

5. Operate Schagrin Home Comfort Products vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.

6. Maintain equipment and vehicles in excellent condition by performing necessary maintenance (fluid levels).

7. Will be required to be “on call” for afterhours services once trained.

8. Check with Dispatch before leaving any location for additional instructions or work assignments.

9. Report problems at the time of the service call to Supervisor.

10. Represents Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner.

Other Responsibilities

1. Reports directly to the Appliance Supervisor

2. Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.

3. Required to deliver and/or pick up equipment, etc. from other Schagrin Home Comfort Products locations as needed.

4. Capable of operating various hand, power tools and other equipment.

Qualifications

1. Must have a valid driver’s license, prefer Class B CDL with an X endorsement.

2. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and random screenings per Schagrin policies.

3. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

4. Lift up to 50 pounds or more.

5. Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving abilities.

6. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position; the environment is inside and outside in all kinds of weather.

7. Job requires working at heights using ladders or platforms, as well as working in crawlspaces, roofs and small areas.
