JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective: 

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all external and internal Information Technology system software and hardware are maintained, updated, and replaced in a cost effective and expedient manner.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

This position requires a person that possesses managerial and technical skills. Individual must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with business associates, management and subordinates. Individual must be self-motivated and flexible to enable them to focus on several projects at one time.

The position requires an individual with extensive managerial skills and knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems. Also requires strong Microsoft365 tenant and Azure Active Directory skills.

Knowledge of VMware virtualization is very beneficial.

Knowledge of Fiserv Premier, Linux, and Mac OS are beneficial but not a requirement.

Requires an individual with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Corporate: 

  • Perform risk assessments on new and existing technologies and processes to ensure best practices are in place and risk management is at a level deemed acceptable. 
  • Manage and Maintain Cyber Security policies and procedures to ensure best practices are in place and processes are modifies to adapt with evolving threats. 
  • Coordinate I.T. audits, both internal and external, and respond, remediate, and track findings in a timely manner. 
  • Enhance subordinates and other employees learning experiences through resourceful use of information technologies and systems, including support for administrative and operation data systems, including support for administrative and operation data systems, infrastructure including telecommunications, voice, data, and video, desktop computing, and associated support services. 
  • Collaborate with CTO to provide recommendations to Executive Management, in order, to develop ways for effective, efficient, and ethical use of the bank’s information technology and systems, and to provide an assessment of their efficiencies. 
  • Participate collaboratively in the establishment of policy definitions for technology, technology infrastructure and its use in meeting the bank’s vision and mission. 
  • Ability to collaborate and develop cogent and concise strategic, tactical and socially responsible information technology plans, including implementation and funding. 
  • Serve as a source of information on technology trends and developments and their impact on and usefulness to the bank. 
  • Ability to clearly articulate the application of technology to both technically oriented and non-technical audiences. 

Supervisory 

  • Supervise and evaluates the work of subordinate staff, collaborates with CTO to effectively recommend personnel actions related to selection, disciplinary procedure, performance, leaves of absence, grievances, work schedules and assignments, and administers personnel related policy and procedures. 
  • Collaborate with CTO to plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of technical and clerical personnel engaged on operating a computer system, related peripheral equipment, data entry devices, and controlling document and record distribution. 
  • Collaborate with CTO to develop plans for the IT Department by considering work methods, scheduling of priorities, and capabilities of equipment and human resources to product desires results efficiently and effectively. 
  • Collaborate with CTO to develop and maintain operating schedules to provide the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
  • Maintains records and prepares reports of production, equipment operation, and downtime.
  • Reviews finished products of computer operations to ensure conformance to established quality and operational standards. 
  • Devises techniques for improving productivity of personnel and equipment resources.
  • Establishes and enforces standards for controlling the workflow and integrity of data through the production processes and for ensuring the quality of production work and security of materials, equipment and files. 

Practical 

  • Manage installation and support of hardware and software services.
  • Develops measurement and monitoring methods and prepares operational and performance reports on major information technology systems and processes.
  • Creates and supports processing environment.
  • Develops and conducts training for hardware and software for an individual or groups.
  • Manages disaster recovery process and testing.
  • Manages and documents network security.
  • Operates the computer and peripheral equipment as required.

 Work Environment: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

Community Bank has adopted a 40 hour work week. Some flexibility in hours is necessary based on the location assignments, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and must work at least 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. 

Travel: 

Travel for this position is limited to travel for meetings/training, hardware/software replacement/installation. 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or compensating levels of experience and willingness to pursue educational requirements as necessary to obtain and or maintain qualifications. (WAN/LAN certifications for administrators)
  • 7 years of related experience.
  • Strong Managerial skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and WAN/LAN management and configuration.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must provide own transportation to various bank locations.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Strong clerical skills, good communication skills and professional appearance are necessary for this position. Abilities to manage Microsoft 365 Tenant and virtualization along with proficiency with computers, copiers, printers, and other office equipment are required.
