Pay Range: $63,202 - $67,000/Yearly
About this opportunity:This position is responsible under the direct supervision of the Property Manager, plans, schedules, and monitors the day-to-day general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment; negotiates, advises, and monitors all contracted maintenance services; ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; participate in more difficult repair work; operates a Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up and/or deliver materials and maintains an inventory of National Capital Area Command property. Properties for which this position supports: Solomon G. Brown (SGB) Community Center - 54,000 square feet mixed-use office and retail center; Turning Point Center (TPC) - 43,000 square feet, 28-unit multi-family housing, and programs facility; Angel Tree Warehouse (AT W) - 36,725 square feet industrial warehouse.

What we are looking for in you:- Two years of course work from a vocational or technical school in heating, ventilation, and air condition, plumbing, electrical, and construction trades,
- AND
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience performing skilled maintenance and repair work for commercial buildings and grounds with at least two years in a supervisory capacity,
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions. No effective protection from the weather. The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
