Overview

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for carrying out all duties and responsibilities of a Plumber at the Journeyman level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating water, and draining systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. 

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

May be assigned any work that is reasonable for which the Journeyman Plumber is capable of performing. 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

• Must have a current Journeyman Plumber License.
• 5 years' work experience at the Journeyman Plumber level. 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

Must be knowledgeable in assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
