The Bowen Center is Hiring a Human Resources Consultant Near Warsaw, IN

The Human Resources Consultant is responsible for performing advanced, specialized and administrative duties in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits consultation, leave management processes, guidance for employees, and leadership consultation related to human resources policies and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Acts as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resources issues as it relates to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensures areas of compliance align with established policies and procedures with regard to organizational regulating agencies, including but not limited to relevant federal, state or local legislation.
  • Leads as a subject matter expert on internal investigations involving policy violations, rule violations, harassment, and other conflicts; manage investigations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans in compliance with organizational policy, federal and state law.
  • Answers requests or information on policy interpretation for employees and leaders.
  • Develops retention strategies with leadership based on stay interview data, exit interviews, and disciplinary trends.
  • Guides employees on available employee leave management processes, including coordination of communication between employee, leadership, Payroll, and/or other third-party vendors.
  • Participates in unemployment hearings on behalf of the organization.’
  • Responds to emails, calls, messages, and other inquiries within 24-hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications And Competency Expectations
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: Prefer two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or three (3) years of internal organization experience including managerial experience
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in all relevant human resources competency areas
  • Valid driver’s license and active liability insurance
  • Satisfactory results from criminal background check
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age
