(AP) is looking for an experienced environmental planner to join our team.The Natural Resources Division includes biologists, planners, environmental scientists, and other specialists. Our team of interdisciplinary environmental professionals provides the full spectrum of natural resources planning services as well as developing permit applications to assist our civil engineers with public and private infrastructure projects.We are looking for a driven leader to help us grow and continue to serve our region.
Responsibilities
• Primary responsibility - Lead teams in preparing environmental permit applications and reports to meet federal, state, and local requirements.• Other responsibilities - Work on a wide range of creative environmental projects, including designing multi-use trails, facilitating integrated water resources planning collaboratives, conducting basin-wide environmental studies, and writing watershed management plans/natural resource plans. Also measure noise, sample water and soil, delineate wetlands, and survey for plants and animals. AP is a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to expand areas of practice to support your professional interests.
Qualifications
• 7 years of environmental planning experience, ideally in Washington and/or Oregon• Ability to lead environmental permitting projects designed to meet federal, state, and local requirements• Strong skills in NEPA, SEPA, JARPA/JPA, CWA Section 404/401, Section 7 ESA and Section 106 NHPA consultation experience• BA/BS degree (masters preferred) in biology, ecology, natural resources, environmental science, or a similar discipline• Excellent skills in technical writing, scope and budget development, and project management
