Job Summary
The Network Operations Fiber Construction Technician will work in the field to help maintain and expand the network as well as complete following tasks with other duties as assigned.
This position will be an hourly position that will require the individual to possess a valid driver’s license at all times with a good driving record free from any major offences that will put Lightpath at risk to properly insure the vehicle or provide service to our customers.
The position is a hands-on labor-intensive job that requires fiber splicing skills and cable placement skills within buildings, confined space and aerial locations that will be performed on the Lightpath network.
This position will require off hours and weekend work. In addition, the position requires the individual to take part of an on-call rotation in support of the network that will require being available during various Holidays and weather events.
Candidate will also need to pass a DOT screening for a medical card to operate a commercial vehicle.

These spaces will require the use of a pump to evacuate water and require the person to work in a wet and dark environment.
Individual must be willing to learn and attend continuing ed classes for OTDR, fiber splicing and new construction.
