Thermo-Trol Systems is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team for a full-time position in Virginia Beach, VA. We are seeking a high-energy, motivated technical sales professional to promote innovative solutions for current and potential customers!

The Sales Engineer will be tasked with building upon our company's growth by securing profitable business in areas of DDC, BAS, SCADA, EMS, EMCS, Integration Solutions, and Industrial Controls.

**The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of HVAC systems and HVAC system controls, and must also be able to articulate practical solutions in business terms to purchasing influences and decision makers within customer organizations.**

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

• Work on targeting and qualifying sales leads.
• Responsible for forecasting and estimating costs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Manage proposal generation, presentations, negotiations and closing sales opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, general contractors design/build teams and facility owners.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating & selling of DDC/BAS/EMS/EMCS/SCADA or Industrial Control.
• Knowledgeable in DDC/BAS control theory applications pertaining to the HVAC industry.
• Experience with Automated Logic product line is a plus. 
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong communication & presentation skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
• Ability to multi-task several projects at a time.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Sales Engineer Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or trades certification.
• CEM Certification or proven experience developing Energy Conservation Projects.
• Ability to solve financial and business problems for customers by providing technical solutions.
• Proven record in Estimating and Sales.
• Proficient use of CRM software programs for sales opportunities and customers.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to prove US Employment eligibility.
• Possess valid Virginia state motor vehicle license and good driving record.
• Possess ability to pass background checks affiliated with Government Agencies and Military Facilities.
