Gateway Dealer Network is Hiring a Remote HR Generalist

Human Resources Generalist Summary/Objective The HR generalist serves as the administrator of and support contact for company employees regarding Human Resource related programs and policies including health and wellness benefits, leave of absence administration, safety and company recognition programs. This position also administers internal promotions, employee file administration and management of the company recognition and reward programs and advises employees on company policies and practices. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel. Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, PTO, holiday schedules, and 401K plans. Facilitate employee leave of absence programs including FMLA, USERRA. Lead company compliance with State and Federal Workers Compensation guidelines including reporting of injuries and communication with injured workers. Perform data entry and administrative tasks related to new hires, internal promotions and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing onboarding materials and conducting orientation sessions. Ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization and have access to necessary resources and information. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations. Assists in the creation and review of job descriptions as necessary. Supports recruiting function on an as needed basis in posting and screening job applicants to fill entry-level, professional, and technical positions. Establishes and maintains department records and reporting for internal programs and required compliance programs. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Supports compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Facilitates or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce regarding HR policies and practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field 2 years of experience in the HR field. Knowledge of HRIS Systems (Workday preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft office including Excel. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
