Job Overview:
We are a small private ophthalmology practice seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately billing patients and insurance companies, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Resolve billing issues and discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and collections processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems
- Familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) codes
- Ability to navigate medical billing software systems efficiently.

- Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required.

- Ability to work independently a must.
