Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, coding, and collections. Duties: - Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe - Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount - Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary - Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances - Review accounts for insurance of patient follow-up - Research and appeal denied claims - Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts Requirements: - Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role - Knowledge of medical billing practices and regulations - Familiarity with medical terminology - Proficient in medical coding including ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG systems - Strong understanding of insurance procedures and medical collection practices - Excellent data entry skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Preferred Skills: - Experience with electronic medical record systems - Certification in Medical Billing or related field Join our team and contribute to providing quality healthcare services through accurate medical billing practices.
