The Crowne Plaza Syracuse is seeking a motivated and energetic Sales Coordinator who is eager to learn and grow in hotel sales. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing, as well as sales staff, in day to day operations of the office. Responsibilities include answering phone calls and handling incoming inquiries, working in the sales system to generate reports, rooming list input and making reservations. The Sales Coordinator supports sales managers with event/booking details and communicates when needed to clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the DOSM and sales staff in all sales related duties for group, corporate and catering related business. Including but not limited to banquet event orders, resumes, event details and follow-up, prospecting, etc.
• Assist the DOSM with special events, in-house events and marketing efforts as assigned.
• Perform administrative skills such as typing, filing, copying, faxing, opening and sorting mail, coordinating appointments and answering sales phones
• Act as a liaison between hotel sales office and client. Handle incoming leads to gather details and information for the sales manager to follow-up on
• Must possess ability to coordinate with multiple tasks, meet deadlines with the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; phone skills, customer service oriented, proactive and a team player
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Prior hotel administrative experience preferred
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
