Wayne Memorial Hospital - Jesup, GA is Hiring a CHC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST (FULL TIME) Near JESUP, GA

I. Job Summary

The position will perform duties that support the goals of home care growth through provider satisfaction, education, and communication. Responsible for obtaining patient referrals from all medical facilities in and out CHC service area. Promotes the health system growth by building referral patterns with regional and local primary care physicians, physician extenders and market specialists. Maintains a depth and scope of knowledge regarding Home Care's strategic plan and payer mix, continuum and staff expertise to allow for accurate communication with referral sources.

II. Duties And Responsibilities

Must be able to function under stressful situations. Must have the ability to work well with
others. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently. Must be dependable and
organized. Due to the job responsibilities, this position requires Home Health Software. Intake/Scheduling/BAR modules, , Net Learning, Microsoft
Outlook, Meditech MIG-Internet Gateway, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint)
and Hospital Meditech PCI modules.
Coordinates and ensures quality service to those we serve- Conducts communication and liaison activities to link physicians, nursing staff and other institutions in coordinating transition of home care. Reports to Administrator any quality issues or concerns and assists in analyzing the cause of customer service issues and developing solutions to problems. Participates in committees as assigned within the agency and community.
Coordinates patient care with staff and external agencies
- Maintains contacts with physicians, nurse, case manager, or administrator to keep all members of the team informed of patient status. Assists with Quality Assessment activities as assigned by supervisor.
Engage local and regional physicians to increase referrals to Home Care
- Develop and maintain strong relations with primary care physicians and specialist. Facilitate communications between physicians and Home Care. Solicit input from physicians on access and other issues.
Must have auto insurance and be up to date at all times while employed

III. Education

High school graduate or equivalent

No professional license required but degree in Marketing/ Public Relations or Communication is preferred.

IV. Qualifications and Experience

Two (2) years experience in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications preferred
