Manion's Wholesale Building Supplies, Inc is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Superior, WI
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Manion's team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure that processing all invoices received and payments are accurately and timely made to Manion stakeholders.
Key Performance Areas:
- Review vendor statements timely and resolve any discrepancies.
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
- Manage vendor records ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting w/2 years’ work experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
Other Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong verbal, written and math skills required
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
