Our talented team of employees spans the globe, and we are looking to add a Human Resources Benefits Specialist to help support HR operations in our Strongsville headquarters.
Position SummaryThe Human Resources Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in managing and administering our employee benefits programs. This includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of benefits administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Benefits Administration: Manage the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), and other ancillary benefits).
  • Leaves of Absence: Process and administer leave of absence requests for medical, personal, disability, and FMLA circumstances.
  • Employee Support: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting employees with benefits inquiries, claims issues, and plan options.
  • Open Enrollment: Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual open enrollment process, including the setup, testing, enrollment event, and carrier management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with benefits vendors and brokers to manage plan options, costs, and service levels. Conduct regular audits of benefits invoices for accuracy.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate employee benefits records and manage benefits data in the HRIS. Prepare and analyze benefits reports as needed.
  • Education & Training: Develop and deliver benefits-related training and education programs for employees to enhance understanding of available benefits and usage.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of benefits administration.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably within a technology company.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration software.
    • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification in Benefits Administration (e.g., CEBS, CBP).
    • Experience with HRIS systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of basic employment laws and EEO.
