Oregon Veterinary Referral Associates Inventory Assistant
(OVRA)
An inventory assistant has a high attention to detail with a strong work ethic to support the operations of OVRA by the maintaining, organization and integrity of hospital stock and stock locations throughout the building.
Duties to include:
· Receiving
o Receives and verifies all freight, bulk, and scheduled deliveries
o Review packing slips to verify package content
o Notes lot numbers and expiration dates
o Reports discrepancies to supervisor
o Unpack and put away delivered items
o Rotates stock to ensure First in First Out protocol
o Keeps Central Supply organized and orderly
o Break down and recycle cardboard and packing materials
· Hospital distribution
o Assist Inventory Manager with restocking departments in accordance with their supply requests
o Assist in keeping stocked areas neat and orderly in accordance with First in First out protocols
o Work with department inventory personnel to ensure areas are stocked to appropriate levels
· Special Projects
o Assist Management with additional duties as they arise
· Physical Demands
o Perform general physical activities that require bending, standing, stooping, moving from room to room, sit, talk, and listen; will be required to walk or stand for long periods of time; will use hands to manipulate and handle various items; will reach with hands and arms. Frequently lift, carry and handle packages weighing 50 lbs.
