MaxHealth is Hiring an Accounts Payable Manager Near Sarasota, FL

MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team. Our ideal candidate must be detail oriented and exhibit sound knowledge of best practices in the field.
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports.
This position is Monday through Friday, in-office, and based out of our Sarasota Corporate office on Bee Ridge Road. Pay range based on skills and experience. Starts at $70,000Job Duties
  • Oversees reports regarding cash flow; ensures correct payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Develops guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.
  • Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
  • Verifies payments before signature is added by reviewing checks and vouchers.
  • Reconciles accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records (e.g., subsidiary vendors ledger).
  • Facilitates correct and timely preparation of budget reports and purchase journals.
  • Ensures proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
  • Ensures employer identification numbers or social security numbers have been collected from all vendors for the payables clerk to prepare and submit 1099s.
  • Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
  • Verifying vendor accounts and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Performing research and problem solving for vendor account reconciliations.
  • Updating and maintaining vendor information.
  • Other AP related project to support Finance department as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration preferred, ten years of experience in an accounting office; with at least five years AP related.
Management Experience Preferred.
  • Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Detail oriented with an organized mind-set.
  • Must be flexible, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities
  • Bill.com and Chrome River/Emburse experience preferred, but not required.
