LA Police Gear is Hiring a Customer Service Supervisor Near Santa Clarita, CA

Job DescriptionJob Summary:
A back up supervisor to the customer service department processes orders in preparation for shipment, assists in supervising the customer service department and performs tasks within the customer service department.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform supervisory functions as needed (and in the absence of the Customer Service Manager) including but not limited to: schedule lunch times, coach customer service associates
  • Train new customer service associates.
  • Process complete and partial orders as needed.
  • Communicate with the warehouse regarding any issues pertaining to the processed orders.
  • Import and fill backorders as needed.
  • Perform tasks/review reports including but not limited to:
  • Verify Hold Orders
  • Multiple No BS Orders
  • Duplicate Orders
  • Discontinued/Imported In-Stock Orders
  • Customer Comments
  • Verify-Fraud Orders
  • High Capacity Mag Orders
  • Review high dollar orders to ensure they are not fraudulent before processing.
  • Contact customers for ID’s needed for restricted items.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, chats, faxes and emails from customers and provide desired information in order to resolve any inquiries or issues the customer may have.
  • Clarify any issues for the customers by researching the issue and providing information, researching alternatives and implementing solutions.
  • Place manual orders.
  • Problem solve and provide resolutions that will ensure customer retention and high customer service ratings/reviews.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and record all correspondences in the order management system.
  • Serve as a back up to other aspects of the customer service departments such as purchase orders, quotes, drop ships and the call center.
  • Light cleaning such as consistently maintaining a clean workspace and contributing to the overall cleanliness of the public office spaces (kitchen, bathroom, breakroom, etc.).
  • Light clerical duties such as filing or invoicing.
  • Other tasks otherwise not specified.

  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Friendly, good natured and patient demeanor.
Knowledge:
Requires at least a high school diploma or GED.

Position requires consistent use of a computer, monitors, mouse, keyboard, copier, and phone.
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Sitting on a constant basis.
  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting and stooping on an occasional basis.
  • Climbing stairs on a daily basis.
  • Viewing information on monitors, phone, and paperwork.
  • Manual dexterity to operate all phone and computer equipment.
