Overview:
We are a small immigration law firm located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco handling EOIR and USCIS cases, the majority being asylum cases with Spanish-speaking clients. We are seeking an experienced bilingual (Spanish/English) immigration paralegal to join our team full time.
Skills:
- Spanish and English fluency
- Experience in immigration law is essential for this position, particularly in preparing asylum cases.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle heavy subject matter with sensitivity
- Organizational skills, ability to balance multiple cases and meet hard deadlines
- Strong writing and research skills
Responsibilities:
- Handle preparation of EOIR (asylum, cancellation of removal) cases independently, including declarations, country conditions, and supporting documents
- Prepare occasional USCIS visa petitions
- Oversee two less senior paralegals

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
