Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Duties:
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expenses.
- Print and obtain signatures on checks.
- Upload ACH payments to banks.
- Upload Positive Pay files to banks.
- Ensure payment and invoice records are scanned (filed) timely.
- Process period-end closing for accounts payable.
- Communicate with vendors and company personnel as it relates to processing payables.
- Maintain all W-9’s for vendors.
- File 1099 information returns.
- Other duties as assigned by Controller.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Proficient in technical accounting principles and general ledger accounting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to analyze financial data and perform account reconciliations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using accounting software (Sage Mas90 preferred) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
