Relationship Manager

Relationship Manager Job Purpose:

Qualified candidates are skilled at building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with customers. As a trusted advisor, they strive to find the solution that best fits the individual needs of the client. They also aid internal departments by collecting information, such as sales leads or prospective projects, assisting in the processing and analysis of client data and complaints, ensuring compliance with refiner-based programs, and identifying industry trends – all in support of acting as a trusted advisor to the client, independent retail fuel operators. To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Relationship Manager’s Areas of Responsibility:

• Achieve a thorough understanding of brand recognition, retail network, and wholesale distributor competition within the industry and relevant geographic market.
• Assists customers with station branding and image enhancement projects while collaborating with third-party vendors to meet refiner standards and local municipal regulations.
• Works with existing clients to establish rapport and drive incremental value for the mutual benefit of the organization and their respective businesses.
• Develop a moderate understanding of brand specific programs employed by the respective major oil company to maximize site operations and consumer experience.
• Achieve a moderate understanding of motor fuel retail operations to support client management with retail merchandizing, and strategies that increase sales.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of fueling equipment and Office of State Fire Marshal (“OSFM”) regulations, by working closely with internal support team, industry professionals and centers of influence, reviewing publications, and attending educational workshops and seminars.
• Maintain department workflow by adhering to sales channel procedures, data management, and account maintenance.

Relationship Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or similar field
• 3 years of experience in Business, Sales, Marketing, or similar field
• Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
• Understanding of consumer behaviors and industry trends
• Exceptional organizational skills, supporting a project management environment.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
