Parent Petroleum – Job Description - Warehouse Operator

Warehouse operators handle a variety of tasks that may include receiving and processing incoming products, including bulk and packaged into stock, picking and filling orders from stock, and shipping orders, or handling, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Assist in receiving and unloading trucks and accurately checking in merchandise
• Process order requests and supply orders; pull materials; staging orders to ready for loading
• Assist in counting of physical inventory
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, floors, walkways, and work areas neat and free from tripping hazards. Sweep, dust and mop. Keep warehouse, and work area organized and orderly at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment
• Following safe and proper methods for handling stock
• Assisting in making pallets of goods and materials to put on trucks for transportation.
• Follow safety practices in line with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
• Double check orders for accurate and timely fulfilment.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Follow all work procedures including logging or tracking as necessary
• Report any discrepancies
• Coordinate work with co-workers and comply with supervisor instructions
• Follow product integrity, product quality processes and procedures outlined in the Parent Petroleum QA Manual

Qualification requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
• 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
• Good communication, comprehension, organizational, time management mathematical skills
• Dependable and reliable
• Inventory, some equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
• Ability to read labels, packing slips and other documents in English to effectively perform order fulfillment requirements

• Ability to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers and take orders from superiors
• Experience and/or ability to operate hand trucks, barrel dolly, pallet jacks or forklift, preferred
• Ability to pass drug test and background check

Physical demands and abilities

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
