Production Trimmer

SUMMARY : Manufacture products utilizing primary and secondary processing equipment or hand assembly. Following all procedures and work instructions, achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety assuring internal and external customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Review job standards before trimming the part
• Trim the flash from the mold manually and / or using scissors
• Assure product meets established quality criteria of zero non-conformances
• Correctly record scrap every hour per work instructions
• Correct application of all internal and external labels when required, including removal of all old labels from returnable packaging
• Correct application of lot control numbers
• Review daily all applicable quality alerts
• Immediately notify Production Supervisor of all discrepancies to established quality checks or any condition identified to be out of the normal operating condition
• Communicate production and quality issues / concerns to the supervisor
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
• Participate in team problem solving activities (communication meetings, shift meetings, etc.,) and continuous improvement activities
• Follow all internal and OSHA required safety and environmental procedures
• Wear required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, close toed shoes / boots with rubber sole base)
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, or schedule form.
