JOB OVERVIEW

Codaray Construction is seeking an experienced Business Development Director in Ridgeland, MS.

The Business Development Director’s primary responsibility is to lead and direct the business development efforts of Codaray Construction. This role ensures that Codaray is strategically positioned to be awarded new commercial building work, presenting a positive company image in the community, and bringing in opportunities that align with growth goals.

The Business Development Director will manage relationships with both existing clients and new prospects to secure work, delivering exceptional quality, good communication, and timeliness, ensuring clients have a positive experience with Codaray Construction.

The Business Development Director is also responsible for identifying and researching potential clients, coordinating with marketing teams to develop proposals, negotiating contract terms with clients, and communicating with stakeholders, monitoring project teams ensuring contracts are executed as agreed.

Additional responsibilities include participating in continuing education programs, professional/industry/community organizations, and attending appropriate seminars and conferences.

The Business Development Director performs all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company’s values and beliefs and in alignment with Codaray’s policies so that the client’s full satisfaction and Codaray’s expected levels of safety, quality and profitability are obtained.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software utilized by Codaray
  • Self-motivated and ability to adapt to assigned tasks

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle interruptions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering, Design, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
  • Ten (10) years sales experience in A/E/C or a related industry with a successful track record required.
  • In-depth business background with a reasonable working knowledge of the technical aspects of commercial general contracting.
