Description
EXEMPT. Provide a support role for the waste treatment facilities non-routine and special projects that involve waste treatment characterization, transportation, and disposal at the treatment facilities. Provide waste proposal support for sales and marketing, customer services and support business plan development and assessment. In this role, the key objective is to accomplish organic growth through forward looking thinking and creative business concepts. This position will assist with the integration of people through vision, mission, values, and organizational structure in support of the General Manager.
Duties
- Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and development to improve throughput efficiency of the Facility and new process development.
- Apply innovative technologies and value-added approaches to the plant to separate us from the competition.
- Manage the profile approval process.
- Support Permit and Licenses renewals.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing Group for proposal support and maximize the overall strategic plan and financial goals.
- Provide technical direction and support to resolve any technical issues with the inside customer (operation) and our outside customers.
- Educate and work closely with managers to ensure resources and talent are accessible through each department.
- Provide subject matter technical expertise regarding waste treatment, disposition, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Should be able to participate in frequent site walks and up to 30% travel across the country and abroad. Base location is Richland, WA.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience: B.S. Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Broad knowledge and experience in Radioactive Waste Treatment and Disposal market.
- Thorough knowledge of Energy Solutions, Waste Control Specialists, US Ecology, Hanford and NNSS and International Disposal Waste Acceptance requirements.
- Significant knowledge of RCRA, TSCA, NRC, DOT, NQA-1, and ISO regulations.
- PMP, HASWOPER, and Safety Management Training.
- Project Management Certification desired.
