Position Description
Advertised Job SummaryUnder general supervision, supports program projects for the School of Medicine-Columbia, South Carolina Center for Rural and Primary Healthcare. Collaborates closely with the Center’s directors and portfolio managers to assure the execution of project plans, including establishing timelines and monitoring the achievement of milestones. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is established in support of expanded research activities.
Required Education And ExperienceTypically requires a bachelor’s degree and no prior work experience.
Preferred QualificationsPrefer previous experience in coordinating programs, project management experience, from conception to delivery, and experience in public health, program evaluation, or health care systems preferred but not required. Prefer strong experience in Microsoft package (to include Excel, Word, etc). Experience with computer- based documentation and communication.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively with strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job DutiesJob DutyCoordinates Center programs focused on community engagement to include the libraries and health program, healthcare alignment partnership, and other community-based health programs. Assists the Center Portfolio Managers on managing these programs, including providing technical assistance to programs, coordinating administrative support for programs and portfolio managers (to include scheduling program meetings in Microsoft Outlook and Teams, documenting action items from meetings and following up on action items). Serves as a liaison with the programs and Center and works with Center Research and Evaluation team for project impact assessment in Excel and Submittable grants management platform. Reports progress to the Center Director on these programs, as needed.

Provides support in writing summary reports, disseminating results, and coordinating with the Center Program Members to incorporate findings into the Center’s programs and activities.
