HR Generalist Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the entire employee life cycle to enhance their work experience.
- Responds to inquiries from employees and Managers/Supervisors regarding regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Meets with employees with regards to FMLA and Short-Term Disability and maintains appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
- Provides advice to Managers/Supervisors with regards to compliance of Federal, State and/or local regulations along with implementation of Jay Group policies.
- Handle Worker's Compensation claims with documentation and investigations as required.
- Serve on the Employee Engagement Committee; planning and implementing monthly activities.
- Partner with Temporary Staffing Agency to ensure business needs are met while fostering an inclusive environment.
- Serve on the Safety Committee.
- Work closely with the corporate HR Manager on HR initiatives and other projects.
- Provides support to the facility Site Director to ensure the success of the facility.
- Professional, detail oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with an HRIS/Payroll system is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the HR Field.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive on working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excel in providing great customer service.
- Abilityto communicate in Spanish is preferred, but not required.
